JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Finance Department, the Accounting Technician is responsible for managing the company’s daily accounting and financial operations.

This role plays a key part in payroll processing, financial tracking, and analyzing monthly and annual financial reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting Management

  • Oversee the invoicing process and record accounting entries
  • Perform month-end tasks: bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, general ledger account analysis, etc.
  • Manage and process payroll for employees and physicians
  • Prepare and submit GST/QST declarations and remittances
  • Handle various administrative tasks related to accounting

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Analyze variances between the budget and actual results
  • Update revenue and expense forecasts

Performance Measurement & Cost Management

  • Develop dashboards to monitor company performance
  • Determine cost breakdowns per activity (healthcare services)
  • Generate management reports to analyze service profitability

Audit & Certification

  • Assist the finance department in preparing financial statement review files

YOUR PROFILE

  • Education: College diploma (DEC) in accounting
  • Experience: Relevant experience in a similar role (payroll processing is an asset)
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable working in a digital environment and quick to learn new software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Languages: Excellent command of French (spoken and written) and ability to communicate in English

WORKING CONDITIONS & SCHEDULE

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Work location: On-site, Laval or Brossard
