Fertility evaluation

In order to evaluate the motility, number and general condition of sperm, a seminogram, an analysis of the semen under a microscope, is performed.

The female fertility check-up covers several aspects. The ovulatory functions are evaluated by measuring hormone levels in the blood and the reproductive organs are examined using medical imaging.

An x-ray or ultrasound examination, coupled with an injection of a liquid in the uterine, is performed to evaluate the proper functioning of the fallopian tubes.

A woman’s ovarian reserve gradually diminishes over the course of her life, to the point where she only has 3% at age 40. Ultrasound is used to evaluate the ovarian reserve. Hormone levels are also measured as part of this evaluation.
