Dr Sofia Hussaini Gynecological Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist has joined Fertilys in December 2022.
Dr. Hussaini graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University (2009-2013). She completed her residency training in 2020 at McGill University to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In November 2022, she completed her Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and McGill University in Montreal.
She is recipient of multiple awards throughout her training including the Benjamin Leadership Award and Brian Newton award. She has published multiple research articles in the field and has presented at national and international scientific conferences. Dr. Hussaini is multilingual: she speaks French, English, Persian, and Urdu. She loves to provide evidence-based and personalized care.
“I met Dr Cheng Wei Xiao when she was a senior resident at McGill University. Since July 2022, she invited me to spend some time at the clinic and do moonlighting on the weekends during my fellowship.
I enjoyed the working environment and the therapeutic alliance with patients, so I knew I would officially join the team in 2023. It is reassuring and rewarding to have a close-knit team around you. Each member of the team is responsible, communicates well with each other and helps each other. In addition, the physicians communicate very frequently amongst themselves and know all the patient’s files, which allow even shorter delays in treatments and individualized patient care.
